TCT's Corporate and Social Responsibility Policy
The Corporate Team (TCT) acknowledges that it is not only the large global public
companies but businesses of all types and sizes that need to adopt coherent polices
to:
Protect the
environment we live in.
Deal with
customers and staff in an ethical and caring manner.
Be mindful
of the effect of our business activities on society generally so as to be a force
for the good.
We see that addressing these issues is part of the process involved in making a
business successful. Customers like to deal with organisations which not only offer
good products and services but which they also generally respect. TCT's management
appreciates that we will be more likely to attract and retain the right staff and
thrive if we actively contribute and participate in positive activities which are
seen to be helpful to the community.
The Corporate Team's Environmental Policy
Good environmental practices are high on The Corporate
Team's list of business priorities. As a service company we have a duty of care
to our customers and the community to pursue environmental policies which reflect
the impact of our business on the environment. This commitment is communicated throughout
the organisation.
Current environmental policies include:
Strict compliance
with all the applicable environment legislation
Making appropriate
use of recycling opportunities
Using environmentally
sensitive disposal arrangements
Using environmentally
sensitive procurement
Assessing
the environmental impacts prior to making major investment decisions
Ensuring
that guidance, training and procedures are in place to enable all our staff to
contribute towards caring for the environment
Setting measurable
targets to reduce our impact on the environment
Reviewing
our policies on a regular basis so as to ensure they are effective & up to date.
The Corporate Team's Staff Policy
Being in a service driven industry The Corporate Team's staff is its most important
asset. With that in mind the company has invested heavily in the development of
all employees.
The company will retain good staff through strict observance of legislation which
is designed to protect them but also through our own company initiatives which help
to create better working conditions and surroundings.
The Corporate Team's Customer Service Policy
The Corporate Team is focused on delivering hotel and conference booking services
which are convenient to use and of a consistently high standard. The services must
also result in substantial savings on hotel and conference expenditure being achieved
for each client organisation without compromising on accommodation or conference
venue standards.
Caring for the Guests
We recognise that guests and delegates must always be accommodated in a safe environment.
The accommodation should be in a pleasant setting and in establishments where we
feel confident that guests will be properly looked after.
The Corporate Team's Community Policy
Supporting charities : The Corporate Team raises money for charities through
activities such as sponsored walks and collections from staff and visitors to our
offices. We have been pleased to support Radar, Hope and Homes for Children, RNIB
and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
We also support the efforts of our hotel partners by attending their fund raising
events. For example, over the years we have been pleased to participate in and make
contributions at numerous Hilton in the Community Foundation events.
As members of the HBAA (Hotel Booking Agents Association), The Corporate Team is
proud to be involved in raising funds for Lynn's Bowel Cancer Campaign through the
Association's fund raising events and auction website 'HBAAY'.
